The Group of companies Nordavind invites undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in the competition on the following conditions:

1. Name of the Contest

Nordavind-Dubna OpenSource Code Cup

The objectives of the Contest are:

  • popularize free software in Russia;
  • increase students’ interest in software products designing;
  • allow the participants to reveal their creative abilities;
  • develop professional skills of the participants;
  • advocate programming and computer technology as a form of intellectual and professional activity;
  • create conditions for students’ interest in studying programming languages and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT);
  • identify gifted and talented students with interests and abilities in programming.

3. Dates of the Contest

The Contest is held in absentia in one stage in the period from 17 to 24 October 2014.

4. Condition of obtaining the Participant status

To participate in the Contest it is necessary to be registered during the period from October 13 to October 16 on the site www.tsezis.ru and to specify the data on yourself including a surname, a name, a middle name, the higher educational institution, contact information, group and year. Participation in the Contest is individual.

5. Territory of the Contest

The Contest is carried out remotely with sending the solutions on the Internet.

6. Conditions of the Contest (essence of assignments, criteria and order of assessment)

The order of carrying out the Contest, essence of tasks, criteria and order of their assessment are specified in competitive documentation.

Competitive documentation includes:

  • present announcement of the Contest;
  • Agreement on the organization and order of carrying out;
  • Rules of carrying out;
  • data information on the site tsezis.ru.

The solution of an assignment is the programme written on one of the following programming languages: C, C ++, Java, C#, Python 2, Python 3.

The participant can study competitive documentation on the site tsezis.ru.

The organizer reserves the right to change competitive documentation, conditions of carrying out the Contest and to refuse to carry it out according to conditions of competitive documentation and standards of the legislation of the Russian Federation. Thus the Organizer undertakes to notify participants on all happened changes by sending the notice under the conditions provided in competitive documentation.

7. Order to define winners and prizes. Prize fund

Competitive documentation defines the criteria of results assessment, quantity and the order of defining winners.

The prize fund is formed at the expense of funds of the Organizer.

The prize fund consists of monetary prizes which are given to winners upon termination of the Contest according to the order of receiving prizes.

Terms and conditions of distribution and receiving prizes are specified in Rules of carrying out.

Each Participant receives the certificate confirming his or her participation in the Contest.

8. Order and way of informing participants

Informing participants is carried out by announcements on the Internet on the site tsezis.ru.
